Compliance with MSIB 19-01 will ensure timely initial notifications to the appropriate Coast Guard unit.<br>\u2022\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlanticarea.uscg.mil\/Portals\/7\/Eigth%20District\/docs\/OCS\/MSIB\/MSIB%2019_02%20Life%20Saving%20Appliance%20Dataplates.pdf?ver=2019-01-30-101700-600\">MSIB 19-02<\/a>\u00a0reiterates that data plates are required for lifesaving appliances, as outlined in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlanticarea.uscg.mil\/Portals\/7\/Eigth%20District\/docs\/OCS\/MSIB\/MSIB%2017-02%20Labeling%20of%20Lifesaving%20Equipment%20on%20OCS%20Facilities%20and%20Manned%20Platforms.pdf?ver=2019-01-30-101659-193\">MSIB 17-02<\/a>.
